Jane Remington
Jane has been a lifelong student of holistic medicine and natural healing. In the 1980's, after taking several courses of antibiotics prescribed for dental surgeries, she developed a systemic yeast infection with all its attendant miseries. In her search for a natural method of ridding herself of candida overgrowths, she found a naturopath who put her on a yeast-free diet. Miraculously her energy and health returned in a few short weeks following the plan as her immune system was brought back into balance. As she researched this enigmatic organism and refined her recipes for the diet, a personal cookbook evolved. In 1993 The Yeast-Free Kitchen was published and has been expanded and updated twice in the ensuing years. (Shown below).

Now her new book Recaging the Beast is finally here and is featured below. In it she persuasively illustrates the yeast/fungal links to almost all diseases that plague mankind in our modern world. She also gives detailed instructions, learned over the years, on how to heal those diseases with simple, inexpensive diet and anti-fungal supplements.

Jane remains healthy and continues to counsel locally. She loves to witness the miracle of good health returning to so many who have come to understand yeast overgrowths with all their implications and how to eliminate them. Her kitchen is still mainly yeast-free. She and her husband Bill have three children and four grandchildren, and are enjoying retirement on their farm in central Virginia.

My writing coach and editor thrilled me when she sent the following quote about my book, which I would like to share with my readers.

"Author Jane Remington of Gordonsville, Virginia, has written one of the more 'revolutionary' tomes regarding disease and the relatively unknown connection and roles that yeast and fungus play in the body ecology and diesase. As a nutritionist I was totally impressed with Jane's wealth of knowledge regarding diet, nutrition, and the inner workings of the human body. The book is based on the work of Dr. Sylvia Flesner, ND, who has been working with patients by treating them from the aspect of balancing body chemistries and eliminating the undermining nemesis of health: yeast and fungus. Harold E. Buttram, MD, wrote the Foreword for this compelling, must-read book."

Read what the experts say about Recaging the Beast:

"Under present circumstances, Recaging the Beast may prove to be a Godsend to the families of America, somewhat like a literary Noah's Ark. Written in a fluent and readable fashion, the book probes deeply into the multiple causes that are contributing to today's adverse health trends, along with suggested guidelines for their correction."
...Harold E. Buttram, MD

"Yeast-Fungi contributes to more pain, disease and disability than any other health condition. The general public unwittingly ingests foods and prescription medication without realizing the harmful effects to their bodies. Jane Remington's Recaging the Beast shows you how to prevent and reverse this deadly disease. I applaud her dedication and courage in writing this book."
...Douglas M. Cox, D.C., D.A.B.C.O.

"The book is a wake up call about the health of our society and what we as individuals can do to take control of our own health. Remington makes a compelling case supported by studies that show that the yeast-fungal connection is directly linked to most of the disease and health conditions we see today and things will only get worse if we do not take control of our own bodies instead of relying on a multibillion dollar pharmaceutical industry to treat our illnesses. Recaging the Beast is an easy to understand comprehensive study of the multiple causes of disease today. The book is highly recommended to readers who want to embrace a healthier lifestyle and combat disease."
